About Me and Hot Pink Roses

At Hot Pink Roses, fashion is more than fabric—it’s a tool for empowerment and self-expression.

I see my clothing as a powerful form of self-expression. For me, getting dressed is never a mindless task. It’s a deliberate choice that reflects how I feel, what I want to achieve, and who I want to be that day.

I can’t wear sweatpants when I’m heading into a big meeting or making important decisions. I need an outfit that makes me feel confident, capable, and in control. On the flip side, when I’m tired or not feeling my best, I crave comfort and subtlety—not a pair of bedazzled jeans demanding attention.

My interest in fashion has led me to create Hot Pink Roses Fashion Boutique. I got through college earning degrees in psychology and counseling while working clothing retail. With my interest in both fashion and psych, I realized just how meaningful clothing can be! I recognize clothing impacts mood, mindset, and confidence. It’s not just about looking good—it’s about feeling right!

Having a wardrobe tailored to your emotions offers more than just convenience—it’s a powerful tool for self-expression and mental well-being. When you dress according to how you feel, you align your outer appearance with your inner state, fostering a sense of authenticity and confidence. (wardrobelogic.com)

There is also the concept of “enclothed cognition. This suggests that our clothing choices can influence our mood, behavior, and even our cognitive performance. For instance, wearing soft, comfortable fabrics like cashmere or cotton can evoke feelings of calm and relaxation, while structured garments might instill a sense of purpose and confidence.
